Leaving Cinque Terre was hard but our next destination was Beaune and I can be talked into leaving anything for Burgundy wine. Beaune is in the Burgundy region of France and home to Chardonnay, Gamay, and Pinot Noir; all are my favorites and I’m fairly certain I have converted Natalie. It has some of the best wine in the world. Our plan was a night train from Milan to Beaune, which meant a day in Milan. At the end of the day, we realized we basically day-tripped Milan so our friend could take pictures of the Duomo and to try Panzerotti, a fried bread-mini-calzone-pocket-pizza-on-crack. For less than 2 Euro each, you can find room in your stomach to try “just one more.”
Duomo and Galleria Pics. Don’t worry everyone, Natalie squeezed in some shopping!
And finally, Milan has an amazing store with the most incredible meats, cheese, produce, wine, and specialty foods ever seen called Peck. It’s like a fancy Eataly, which is like saying, “it’s like a fancy Ferrari.” We would love to shop here. They have freaking magnums of Chateau Margaux and Chateau Brion! Pic of Natalie’s first macaron from Ladurée included.
Bonus Spritz-Pic for Chris:
Blog updates galore!! Love the spritz pics though not sure Chris is viewing without his second daughter showing them to him like I did in nyc!
